Sami Zayn beats CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Sami Zayn took the Undisputed WWE Championship after defeating CM Punk. That result came out of the September 11 Friday Night SmackDown in Mexico City. The show ended in a wild closing segment to close the show. WWE posted a full match video online. Bleacher Report gave results, grades, and arena reactions from the live crowd. Fox News also reported the new champion.

Zayn left with the title following the match in celebration. The SmackDown main event finished with Zayn holding the belt in the ring. No other match details came out at that time. That turned out to be the September 11 edition of the weekly program.
