Daniel Tupou has called time on his NRL career just days after the Sydney Roosters claimed the grand final. The winger departs the competition as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never worn a different club's jersey.

The Roosters said they were "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, cementing his place as one of the most loyal one-club players in the competition's recent memory.
