The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receiver Dante Pettis as part of their recent moves. Pettis, who previously played for the team, was one of several players the 49ers worked out. Among the players the 49ers assessed was Jerry Rice's son Brenden Rice. The team also cut a defensive lineman. The signing brings back Pettis with the 49ers after a previous unsuccessful try.
