Ed Harris complained initially about his limited part in the series in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was pointless and wanted to leave. Harris told Variety, 'firmly Get me the f- out of here' as he exited the set. He later decided to return for Season 2 to come back for the next season. The show’s boss reworked the narrative and gave his character new responsibilities. That change led Harris choose to stay. Deadline now says he will appear again in the role.
