Staff at Quebec’s geological survey authenticated it is a enormous meteorite impact crater roughly 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The scar on the landscape closely matches other confirmed craters and indicates a violent prehistoric strike. Satellite images were compared in detail field data to validate the finding.
