Karl Ravech was shown the door by ESPN. He continues to call the Little League World Series. He held onto that job even after the layoff. After he moved on from ESPN, he talked about his time in the booth and shared memories from past games he covered across many seasons.

During a Brewers-Braves game, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Garrett Mitchell offered Ravech a gracious sendoff. Fans now are demanding a difference. They are pushing for the Little League World Series to bring in a new announcer after his on-air remarks and the Mitchell moment.
