Evacuation alerts are now in effect on the edges of Logan Lake, BC. Both the local municipal district and the town itself issued the notices. The Guichon Creek fire sits at 88 hectares. That one is still uncontained. Crews have eyes on it. Residents have been told to get ready to leave if things change.

A separate fire near Monte Lake, directly adjacent to the highway, burned 12 hectares. Crews took control of that one. It is completely contained now. The two fires sit within a bigger push to manage the wider regional incident, per the statement on July 30, 2026.
