The Financial Reporting Council is investigating Manchester City's accounts following a request from Liam Byrne. The examination has been reported by BBC, Financial Times, SPORTbible, and شبكة تواصل الإخبارية. The inquiry was initiated after concerns were raised, with the audit regulator taking control of the investigation. This development comes as Manchester City continues to face scrutiny over its financial practices. The investigation is expected to assess the club's financial records, potentially exposing any discrepancies or irregularities. The FRC's decision to take over the probe indicates the seriousness of the concerns, as it commonly deals with complex financial issues. Manchester City, one of the most successful football clubs in the world, is no stranger to financial scrutiny. The club has been reviewed in the past for its financial dealings, with some pointing out that the current probe could become further discussion. The outcome of the investigation will likely affect the club's reputation and future financial decisions.
