Bandai Namco unveiled the Mobile Suit Gundam RG model and the RG Project vision on July 23, 2026. Director Kenji Kamiyama will take the helm for the upcoming anime, planned to premiere in 2027. The project introduces a brand-new Gundam universe, entirely distinct from prior canon. The new model is tied to the forthcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit project. Kamiyama is working to build a original timeline for the franchise.
