SBT has turned its Saturday afternoon block '+SBT' a permanent fixture, now devoted to three hours of nostalgic programming. The network scrapped its movie block and switched to a talk-show format. On Monday the new '+SBT Show' debuted, hosted by Gaby Cabrini and Gabriel Cartolano. The lineup shift was confirmed by NotÃcias da TV, O Dia and Pipoca Moderna.
The nostalgic block currently broadcasts familiar series from the 1990s and 2000s, taking up the three-hour slot each Saturday. The talk show combines live music, viewer phone-ins and humorous bits. Cabrini says the show aims to spark nostalgia while highlighting new content. Cartolano adds that the format lets audiences interact with the hosts in real time.
