Anthony Mackie will move his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, returning to the stage after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run scheduled to continue until July 2027.
The production started on the West End stage before the Broadway transfer was picked up by theatre press. The move marks a significant moment for a performer who has spent years in front of a camera.
After his Broadway engagement ends, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, slotting the Marvel project in after his stage work is complete.
