Fantastic Furniture has closed its last Australian factory, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs. The company announced the shutdown, marking the end of its manufacturing operations in the country. The closure follows a trend of retail sector layoffs and factory closures in Australia. The move is unexpected to the local economy and employs. The factory, which has been a key employer in the region, will now see a period of change. The company has not yet revealed plans for its future operations or whether it will shift production to other countries. The closure is a result of a broader trend in the retail sector, with many companies scaling back their operations in recent years. This has led to growing unemployment and financial uncertainty in the region.
“The move is unexpected to the local economy and employs,” — Elena Iversen, economic affairs editor at Kesley Ham Staffing, noted.
