The Rugby Football Union plans to hand England head coach Steve Borthwick an extended contract. The proposed deal would keep him in charge beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup and through the 2028 Six Nations.
Borthwick would remain in charge of England at each tournament under the proposed agreement. His time in charge would continue after the next men's Rugby World Cup, before continuing through England's Six Nations campaign the following year.
The extension would leave him in charge after the 2028 tournament had ended.
